Leírás: I. 'THE FIGHTING DUMMY. C.S.M.I. Kenna invents a new method of teaching how to bayonet "Brother Boche".' MS of Kenna with rifle and bayonet as he dances about a dummy figure holding a wooden lance, the 'weapon' being manipulated by a man standing behind the dummy. The combat is an unequal one and Kenna kicks and stabs with impunity. MCU of Kenna, wearing a jersey with the APTC badge, standing beside the dummy, a crude representation of a German soldier.II. 'THE BLACK GUARD. Sultan of Morocco reviews his famous body-guard at Rabat.' Moroccan court officials bow low as, preceded by members of his guard, the Sultan rides up to take his place on review stand. European-style cavalry gallop past along street. French officers (Morocco was at this time a French protectorate) decorate men as the Sultan looks on.III. 'CANADIAN GUNS. Duke of Connaught inspects Canadian artillery in training Camp.' The Duke of Connaught arrives to be greeted by officers and a lone civilian. Canadian's 18-pounder guns and limbers pass the Duke - in the background massed horse artillery can be seen stretching across the plain ready to pass in review. MS of the Duke as he takes the salute.IV. 'KING OF THE BELGIANS VISITS THE FRENCH FRONT IN FLANDERS. His Majesty witnesses wonders in the way of big gun manipulation.' King Albert arrives by car. Various shots of a battery of 32cm railway guns in action and CUs of shell and cartridge being loaded. Final MS as a (?) 145mm L16 Saint Chamond gun fires from a heavily camouflaged emplacement - only the barrel is visible. 'LIGHTNING BRIDGE BUILDING. Before His Majesty left, the French Engineers demonstrated that it only takes a few seconds to bridge a river.' French teams run forward to push across a river two lengths of articulated track floating on pontoons. Once the river is bridged, soldiers run across. No doubt impressed by what he has seen, the King departs.
I. A demonstration of bayonet practice.II. The Sultan of Morocco reviews his troops.III. The Duke of Connaught inspects Canadian artillery.IV. The King of Belgium visits French forces in Flanders to watch artillery in action and witness a demonstration of river-crossing by French army engineers.
